BAI's System Engineering Services (SES) Group performs a range of diverse
engineering services spanning the entire life cycle from conception through
sustainment and eventual sunset of systems and systems-of-systems.
Our areas of expertise include:
 |
  |
Platform and Weapon Systems Mission Planning |
 |
  |
Aircraft & Weapon System Platform Avionics & On-board Systems |
 |
  |
Intelligence Systems |
 |
  |
Command & Control Systems |
 |
  |
Expeditionary Operations |

Test laboratory management |
BAI employs MSCE engineers, integrators, intelligence and operations specialists,
CMMI-trained process experts, software developers, system and lab administrators, test and system security engineers,
former aviators and other subject matter experts. By applying specialized skills in such
areas as cryptographic methods, secure computing, information management, and network infrastructure, BAI system
engineers have enabled unprecedented levels of collaboration among operational
users while maintaining secure, accredited networked systems.
 |
  |
Systems Integration. For over
ten years, our seasoned engineering team has played a key role in
the integration of Navy and joint mission planning systems with fielded C2ISR systems (e.g.
the Global Command and Control System (GCCS)), and consulted in the development
and implementation of intelligence-related software for EA-6B mission planning.
Our continuing activities include the full range of systems engineering
tasks - from systems requirements analysis through battlespace integration
testing - to provide the Fleet with the highest quality products and
capabilities.

Sustainment Services. BAI brings to bear over a decade
of experience deploying and managing systems and products to the Warfighter. BAI ensures that
legacy systems are cost-effectively supported and continue to provide valuable service while
working with customers to design and field the next generation’s capabilities. As an example,
BAI managed all technical aspects for the Tactical Automated Mission Planning System (TAMPS)
while working closely with the US Navy to design and develop the Joint Mission Planning System (JMPS),
the TAMPS follow-on. These areas
include program management, software testing, configuration management, deficiency report
tracking, trouble report analysis, developer monitoring and Fleet user liaison. BAI has
provide top-notch support of this legacy system throughout its sustainment phase, including
software updates for both routine and time-sensitive emergency changes required by the Fleet,
integration and verification of new mission planning modules, configuration management of
software baselines, and production of Fleet releases. Over the last three years of sustained
combat operations, the TAMPS software has sustained no operational mission failures, a fitting
testimony to the efforts of the BAI Team.

Program Support. For the Joint
Mission Planning System (JMPS), BAI is integrating current builds and
developing the software configuration management system for future
deployments. BAI works side-by-side with other JMPS team members defining requirements and
prototyping new planning capabilities as concept of operations and tactics evolve.
BAI’s efforts also include the design and implementation
of business solutions enabling the Government to operate like a commercial corporation
in effectively planning, executing and monitoring its business operations.
BAI also provides critical program management support functions for
the Evolved Sea Sparrow Missile.

 |
  |
Test. BAI test engineers perform virtually all laboratory test
functions, develop test plans, and test reports for software, platforms and weapons. Our test engineers are key members in mission planning
test teams in the Navy Integration Laboratory at Point
Mugu, Integrated Battlespace Arena (IBAR), Weapons Engagement Office (WEO) and Naval Fires Network (NFN) test facilities.
|
 |
  |
Process Improvement. BAI's close and trusted interaction with
our Government customers includes the following services: management implementation of best practices
(such as Earned Value Management System and Software CMMI), leadership in innovative solutions, lead
JMPS security engineer, requirements analysis, product integration, process/product quality assurance,
subject matter expertise, and military planning and operations.
